i believe it was a four year deal for 2.5m...so say $625k a year. so much for the "commitment" to basketball at a-slut.

Well, now that UK has won the battle of the underworld, amongst the forces of darkness, Manning can move on to his new job and build Tulsa the KU way (dole out that bling), just like Rupp built UK the KU way (dole out that bling).
I'd be disappointed if Marshall agreed to the TU game being at Intrust.Last edited by another shocker; April 3, 2012, 12:09 AM.

To me, the only way this game happens at IBA is if WSU sees it as a big enough financial benefit to do so. I'm sure WSU would rather have a more high profile game at IBA that would bring in TV $s,..... but if they don't get one?

Another point, Tulsa average attendance when they wrote the contract was around 4,000. It would be an insult to see that few in an arena that seats 15,000.
The WSU game at TU was fun this past season, we Shocker fans were louder than the home crowd. It appeared 1 out of every 4 there was a Shocker.Rip em up, Tear em up, Give em HELL Shockers!

Originally posted by ShockTalk View PostAs I look through more old articles, it appears you are correct about both of Tulsa's home games being at Reynolds. However, that basically means WSU and Tulsa can have their home games on campus or where ever they wish as neither visiting team will disagree about playing off campus. So, this makes it even more possible that WSU could go back to IBA if it wished for the reasons I gave.
