The excitement of that new team starting up in a new stadium in Wichita wouldn't have any trouble attracting 60,000 rabid football fans away from supporting KU or K-State, or even OU.

Those first couple of years when we'd likely be playing teams like McNeese State, Houston Christian, Northwestern State, Incarnate Word, and others in the Southland Conference would ensure some lopsided wins and maintain the fan level and support at a fever pitch.

    Can't miss!
Who cares about stadiums. Just mow down a 100 yard patch next to K96 and people can bring blankets and sit on the highway berms. Wichitans will think they're at a CU game in Boulder.

We're gonna be in the equivalent of the MVC (or worse) in about a year anyways.

All to be in a glorified MWC. I struggle where any of this makes sense. It made more sense when the Pac still was considered a P conference. They have lost all of the official benefits of that.

If we lose 4 and they lose 4, we are still in the position of power over them IMO. They would also be under the required number of schools to be a conference. Air Force is almost a certainty to jump at that point. Its a domino effect. There is almost zero chance in that situation that AAC schools go to the MWC, but a very high chance of the other way around.
