I will not say "I told you so" again about the greatness of Fred, it is self-evident. WSU has been a great stop for him, and a perfect fit. I know he appreciates all the love from shocker nation.. Thanks!
Man, we missed you around here. Come back more often. Fred makes us all so proud. A great player and a greater young man.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

    • Question: is Fred okay? He went down at the end of the game.

      • Yes.. I think he is ok. The back of his head hit the floor.

        • So funny you brought up Yogi Ferrel's name. I watched FVV in H.S take Ferrel's top ranked AAU team a part not once, but twice!! Yogi Ferrel will have a nice career playing in Europe, while FVV plays in the NBA.

            • Mr. Baker and FVV were dishing out daggers today as they have so many times in times past. Anytime our team only has 3 turnovers versus a team that plays tough D. like UNI, we will win. FVV really hit his head hard on the hardwood today and we will hope and pray he will be okay.

              • Fred VanVleet is the greatest point guard in Shocker history and still has another year to play. I'd like to know if anyone thinks there's ever been a better one.

                    • I'm racking my pea brain and not remembering a 3 headed monsta as good as FVV, Baker, and Cotton here together playing for WSU. Speaking of road wins, looking at the past 5 years or so, we know we have had the best road warrior teams of all Shocker History. How is the Marshall Plan working out for us? Groooooooooovy!!!!!!! Now next Season, we will find 1 more Juco Big, cross our fingers and toes that Baker returns, and salivate knowing that we have still another solid crop of new talented recruits to learn from the best and take the baton and keep us looking good.

                      • Better three headed monster? Not in the backcourt. What about Carr, Levingston, McDaniel in the front court? Carr, McDaniel, Sherrod? VanVleet, Baker, Early?

Carr, Levingston, and X was never a combo. X was a freshman that subbed in for one of the bookends.

The other two combos are almost to close to call, but I would give a slight edge to:

The Big Dog, the X man, and the man with no nickname...

Those 3 guys had very nice NBA careers.. I loved watching X play when he was with the supersonics. Very skilled scorer and a true bad ass!! Would not back down for nobody!!!

                              • If I would have know all it took to get Mrclove4 to post was to wonder how he was I would have asked months ago. Thanks for stopping by. Have you ever made it to St Louis to watch FVV play or any MoValley games in the upper reaches of Illinois? Iff you ever do get to St Louis I would buy you they beverage of your choice just to get to listen to stories about preWSU FVV. I'll bet there are some great ones because he is writing a tremendous story here in Wichita. The really great thing about WSU is that you not only become a son of the university but also a son of the city. He will forever join the likes of the greats and not so greats of those that preceded him.
