On first read I thought it was referring to Cessna. One can hope.

It's made with real bits of hammer.

But really it's peanut butter, banana and hot fudge

        • If you are a smart business owner, you might be asking yourself how much this kind of publicity would be worth to your business.

They put a large wad of fudge (or other toppings like caramel) through the center of the cup.

Does everyone recall how a small, irrational group of College Hill nincompoops protested the construction of the Andy's? Place does quite a business now, including the majority of CH residents who didn't have a problem with it.

They've moved on now. Their new ire are the awful restaurant owners who want to add parking surfaces to adjacent vacant lots they own.

I think there’s more to that story. I haven’t lived there for years, but the shiny design of the building which replaced an old taco tico building didn’t really fit into the feel of the neighborhood. I don’t think it was the business per se but rather the design of the building.

              • You can call me a nincompoop but Andy’s sticks out like a sore thumb in that neighborhood.

                • It was definitely mostly about aesthetics. Though there were some that weren't happy because I believe there's already an ice cream/dessert place in the area that some felt they needed to protect from a chain.

My therapist is located down in that area and I drive by it often enough that I do agree with AndShock that it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I do also understand people not wanting a parking lot constructed right next to them. I probably wouldn't be too thrilled about living next to one either. I'd never buy a house next to one and pretty sure I'd be upset if I did buy a house and then later on someone slapped a parking lot next to me.

                  • I feel it might be relevant to point out that the new 1500 SF Andy's is located roughly 30-40 feet from the 30,000 SF building pictured below, in a neighborhood of 100-130 year-old bungalows, colonials, and tudors. I mean... just saying if the argument is about aesthetics of a new building conforming to the neighborhood. Also of context is that the Andy's replaced a former Taco Tico fast food building with Spanish exterior architecture.

Maybe they should have kept the taco tico design and called it Andre's.

Well, it did have a nudge from the AD.

Curious what everyone sees when you go to open sores.con and search Wichita State?

Sores.con pulled up a google search of genital sores. 0/10, do not recommend.
