Let's be honest .. he could transfer out and get a waiver for playing second semester at any other school ... that just appears to be the way the NCAA works for every school but us.

Yes .. but we've said we won't be a roadblock. And since the NCAA has basically delegated the responsibility to waivers to the previous coaches .. the way the NCAA works would allow him to be eligible in the spring

All of his previous coaches were probably more than happy to sign his paperwork. Probably hand delivered to NCAA to expedite his departure.

Well, to be fair, we probably signed the run-off waiver, one was the free COVID transfer (after 20-21 at Washington), then Frank Martin was let go from South Carolina after 21-22. So it's not like he's circumventing the rules.

But it still is frustrating how many other players we see immediately eligible.

It was pretty well-known that Erik was unhappy here and that Gregg didn't like him either. It seemed like someone here on SN jokingly wondered if Gregg gave him the instructions as to how to enter the transfer portal.
