    TLDR

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, a DePaul fan with the account handle “BlueDemonDegen” claimed responsibility for the Big East Films series after its own X account had been taken down. In a wide-ranging thread (which begins here), the social media user discussed the intent behind the series as well as the reaction to some of the more controversial aspects of Divine Providence, which included one panelist likening former Friars head coach Ed Cooley to Adolf Hitler and claiming that the now-Georgetown coach had been involved in extramarital affairs during his time at Providence.
Everyone understands why Ed Cooley would threaten legal action. Nobody knows why ******* is getting involved. Portnoy is getting involved because he hates ******* so… go watch the doc?

Something about a documentary, DePaul, getting sued, the Big East.....I don't know, but it seems to be "a thing".
I was going to ask the same thing yesterday. He was trending on twitter and several folks ask the same question on X and I didn't really see an answer. But the funny thing is that every fan base seems to despise him.

That’s because he’s nothing but an internet troll. Ironically, he looks like one too.

Can't really say anything either way on the documentary, but does JG actually think that suing someone may put them behind bars?

That's not how that works, man.

Within the last week, he's done this and also took a pretty unprovoked swipe at Greg Heiar, IIRC.

                Speaking of Heiar…

Not that I would EVER hijack a thread, but…

I hope whomever is in charge of making such decisions gives some serious consideration to GH coaching the AfterShocks this summer. If our squad is ever going to seriously have a shot to win it all, we MUST upgrade coaching. As this event has gotten more popular, people are putting better resources and manpower into this. Having Zach Bush and JR Simon running things because they are buddies/former teammates with the players isn’t going to be good enough anymore.

Say what you want about GH having a chance to get back into the D1 game, but the guy knows ball. And he was acting like a real coach on the bench during the Memphis game last summer when our guys made that comeback.

I've been getting some laughs reading the replies to JG's tweets. Every other comment is about how he'd look good in orange lmao

                    Not a bad idea.

Also, Greg Heiar may be the best JUCO coach of all-time. That dude has won like crazy at every stop. Chipola (I think), NWF, and now MAC.

Made a list of the worst coaching hires of the last X number of years. GH was like #2 or perhaps even tops on that list. Really piled on in his description.

The program had a student kill a student from another school, had severe hazing allegations, and was shut down under his watch. His description could have been MUCH worse.

When his penence is paid, I'd LOVE to hire Heiar, if for no other reason than to weak mushmouth mumbles....
