Had no idea some states allow NIL for HS athletes. Imagine what LeBron woulda made if NIL for HS athletes was a thing back in his day. Crazy to think what the next LBJ will make.

That's been going on for several years. How do you think DeAngelo and Maurice ended up at Collegiate?
That has been going on, but when a HS player gets paid to endorse Planet Fitness in Maize in exchange for playing for the Eagles is the type of thing I’m talking about.

Let's just hope it doesn't happen anymore that it is currently.
Ya, I hate to say it but Mike is just trying to deflect here. It is painfully obvious to almost everyone that WSU was way behind the curve. A ton of schools saw this coming years ago and began planning for the exact scenario that is playing out. It certainly doesn't help that they p!ssed off and alienated a lot of the big donors with the handling of the Marshall situation on top of everything else. Mike also lambasted one of the people who commented for not knowing specific facts but it is kind of hard to know anything when there is zero communication from the AD or the school on what is being done.

The school just needs to be transparent. When you are silent and are working back door secret deals that come to light through the newspaper, people do not trust you. When you fu** up come out and own it.
