They don't have a basketball team in March either...

Perhaps. Was just going by what the article said:

In fact, he told The Eagle that he was planning on accepting a scholarship offer to run track at Creighton before Brown extended the offer as a preferred walk-on this week. ”I had a couple opportunities to run track, but basketball is my first love,” Thengvall said. “I’ve been holding out to see if the right fit in basketball came around. Wichita State has such great history and is a great program, so I couldn’t turn it down. No way.”

Probably preseason top 10, second round exit. March isn't good for Creighton.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I was rooting for Creighton to make it to the sweet 16 this year!

Must be cross country, which is wild because he also plays football.

Shouldn't have copied a major league baseball team's logo. Bad karma.

My personal hell would be watching the ChicKUns play the BJ's. That game actually happened! The Cheaters vs. the mid-major Podunkians. Cheaters prosper.

                  Nm.

I regret stinking up this fine kid's thread with that reference.

Who would that have been? Was trying to find it but I have a couple of ideas.

I don't want to quote it in case I'm full of ****. I couldn't find an article to verify.

You aren't wrong. It indeed did happen. Very sad. Shame too because he was a really good guy when I knew him.

He went to high school with Randy Burns. Randy told Turg he was the only guy that could shoot better than him, and Turg let him walk on. He was on scholarship his senior year, iirc, and that was probably the sweet 16 year.

Side note. Cameron Ledford is still one of the most important walkons this program has had.

Done pretty well for himself I'd say.
