I think if NMSU keeps the assistant (Miller?) as their head coach he stays at NMSU. I guess he had a close relationship with Miller.

At this point, it doesn’t matter what players we get if they’re still gonna be coached by the same coach. The best bet for Wichita State basketball now is to position themselves best for the next coaching hire. So this is a good play.
