MSU was 10 of 14 SEC teams this year. The SEC had 4 top basketball teams who were in the national discussion, and unlike football, it is not easy to win in the SEC. The rest of the league was average or below. Not an easy league to win in, and MSU will be interesting to watch. Ben Howland couldn’t get it done and 8 years ago, he seemed to be a perfect coach for MSU too. I think Jan’s will have a couple of good years, and then be done. At Wichita State the same effort would be good for more wins and a longer coaching career

It’s not gonna be easy for him. He has to bring in a big time recruiter because the SEC is another level. Jans is a great coach, and if he can make them competitive, he can probably coach there a long time.

I wish Chris had a good friend who not only was a great juco coach but also had experience coaching and recruiting in the SEC.

Anyway, Jans was wise to take the paycheck while it was still out there, because he took NM St. as far as he was ever gonna' take 'em.

What's your next objective take; if only Mo would have hit the floor for 50/50 opportunities as hard as the guards did all year WSU would have been a much better team this year? Oh, wait...
