Hello Shockers.
Draft placement discussion aside, I'm excited about this matchup. I'm sure you remember last years close BB game at your place. We've lost a lot and reloaded for this years 28-6 (15-3) team.
We lost a lot of production in four senior starters in Rozzel, Skeen, Nixon and Rodriguez that were the core of our Final Four run. We return one senior in Bradford Burgess, who has struggled at times this year being 'the' guy, but holds the NCAA record for consecutive starts at 144. He does lead the team with 13 points per game, but you can't sleep on anyone as throughout the season we have had many different players fill it up.
Players stepping up.
Juvonte Reddic. Athletic big man that can run the floor who has improved with more playing time in his sophomore year.
DJ Haley. More minutes from the 7ft big man as he has improved for his sophomore campaign.
Darius Theus. Playing as a backup PG for his first two years at VCU, many were concerned about his ability to run the point. His performance this year has surprised some, with a 2.2 to 1 AST/TO ratio, 8.6 PPG and nearly 2 steals per game.
Troy "Trey" Daniels. 3-bombs away, Troy is hitting 38.5% from three this season (234 attempts) and has a tendency to drop 5 of them on you.
Key additions:
Briante Weber. Recognizable by his headband, Bri is a freshman guard and a member of the All-CAA Defensive team, he is averaging 2.2 steals in 19 minutes per game good for 76 on the season. He is lightning fast and will pick your pocket before you know it.
Treveon Graham. Freshman guard out of Washington DC, Treveon is more offensively minded. He has an ability to slash and draw fouls, with 181 FGA and 118 FTA.

What has been your big changes this year from last? See you guys in Portland!
Edit: Bugger, typo in the title and I can't edit it. Doh!
