One of the many reasons I like our chances today. This is from an article in the Eagle today:

In Pomeroy’s calculations, teams that average one point per possession are playing well and 1.2 means a team is outstanding. WSU checks in at 1.6. In old-fashioned basketball terms, those numbers mean WSU shoots the ball accurately, takes open shots, gets to the foul line frequently and rarely commits turnovers.

I think it is important to remember that WSU's strength of schedule is ranked 56, while VCU's is 154. VCU has not played a team as good as the Shockers during their season.
I would put this game as comparable as WSU vs. Davidson in matchup.

Well tonight is going to be one of those games like last year when Butler played ODU...I like both of your teams but I will be rooting for Wichita State because I think you can beat Indiana and I have been riding your bandwagon all year. It is really sad for a fan like me who likes mid major teams to see you have to play each other I would have liked to see you guys face off in the Sweet 16 or something done the line not here today, but it is what it is and you have to play each other.

You have more talent than us - no question and you have a great point guard in Ragland but you didnt get much out of stutz. He is slow. Haley neutralized him pretty well inside. I didnt think you ever really stopped our penetration to the basket. We got to the rim a lot more than we usually do. Normally we settle for more jump shots. Good game and great season for you guys.

That comment was made by some douche who isn't even a WSU fan. He is a KU troll that comes on here occasionally, probably still butt hurt from last year.
