I'll do it for exactly half the cost and half the terms (contract buyout, renewal, bonuses, etc). Then once I get flamed out in here and bought out I can hang with Lowery in the Bahamas.

Is this not Defamation? Seriously, there is a lot of damage that can be caused by this if not proven to be true.

Maybe I'm way off or naive or whatever. However this is being put out there in the public realm and could cause damage to the university/athletic program, etc. Any lawyers around here?

I think Murry has a big game here. You wanna pressure VCU???? Watch out...Murry gets to the rim a lot!

Note to Murry....Practice passing out of the lane occasionally this week so when you do beat the pressure and don't get quite to the rim...you can dish it for an easy lay-up for somebody else. GO SHOCKS!!!

The old saying in basketball is that teams (like VCU) who press don't like to be pressed, but the Shocks can press pretty well in their own right and may very well do some of it Thursday. WSU should defend the Rams tougher than anyone they've faced for a while. So yes, the Shocks will have to be careful but so will VCU, and meanwhile the Shocks have some offensive weapons that shouldn't be easy to shut down. Plus, this Shocker team plays with an edge, and seems to like settling scores -- and you know that Joe Ragland believes he has some unfinished business with these guys. VCU is a tough #12, but I think this is a good matchup for WSU in a lot of ways. And if WSU does get the job done, I like their possible second-round foes as well.

Having said that, Kentucky is another story altogether, although their aura of invincibility may just have been dimmed a bit. This was why I was saying a 6 seed wouldn't be too bad -- on paper, I'm not convinced that UNLV's road is any tougher than WSU's is.

I wouldn't mind seeing Carl get a little extra incentive to kick up his game a notch...

Channel 12 just said they took a poll of 500 fans on who they thought would go the deepest in the Dance of the 3 Bigs in Kansas. The mass majority voted for KU which was no surprise. However, K-State gets about 3% more votes than us? Plaaaa-eeese. It's times like these it makes us thankful the games are not played on paper but rather between the lines. It would be great for us to be the last Kansas Team and Valley Team dancing. It appears we still have too many skeptics out there. Now is our chance to do something about it.

You guys have a much similar team to us last year when we started 4 seniors and 1 junior. We are the 9th youngest team in the country. Its amazing we won 27 games this year. We did it with defense and fast break points. We get beat on the boards a lot of games and sometimes really bad. Its not unusual for a team to out rebound us by 15 but we still find a way to win. we started the semi final game vs. george mason on a 30 to 4 run to open the game ! We have a solid point guard in Theus who backed up Rodriguez last year. He is not great offensively but runs the team well and can get to the rim sometimes. Our 2 guard brandenburg was on fire in the CAA tourney. He had a really bad slump in mid season but has snapped out of it. he is lightning quick and can get to the rim against almost anyone. he also has a pretty good 3 point shot. Troy Daniels didnt play against you guys last year because of a broken foot. he is our best 3 point shooter and can score from 25 feet if left open. He can hit 3 or 4 in a row and then miss 3 or 4. Streaky but definitely our best 3 point shooter. Burgess was our junior starter last year and is our best player. he plays good defense and will guard the opposing teams 4 man. he can pop out and nail a 3 or hit a mid range jumper. Not much of a penetrator. Juvonte Reddic is our one decent big guy. came into his own vs. purdue in ncaa tourney sweet 16 game last year. Can hit a 15 foot shot and has a nice baby hook. Good offensive rebounder and a very good leaper. In order for us to have a chance Reddic and Burgess have to stay out of foul trouble. any length of time they are not on the floor spells trouble for us.

D.J. starts at center but only plays 3 minutes or so then gets subbed out for briante weber usually (lightning quick guard - defensive specialist). D.J. is slow and has asthma. we like to run and press so he does not fit the system very well. he works hard but is very much a work in progress. Weber leads the country in steals per minute. can cause lots of havoc with other teams guards. he has a decent mid range jumper and can penetrate but is still very much a raw offensive player. he didnt play at all last year - was at a prep school and decided he didnt like it (it was a military prep school) so he just finished the fall semester and then enrolled at vcu last summer.

Tre Graham is a forward who comes off the bench and can create his own shot and get to the rim and also is a good 3 point shooter. Not as quick as some of our other guys. He and brandenburg carried us down the stretch in the title win vs. drexel on monday night.

two guys you may see are: freshman point guard Teddy O. - still young but very talented - good ball handler but not very quick. good penetrator and can finish at the rim. has good size at 6-4. Grew up in england so still transitioning to the american game.

Jarred Guest is a rail thin 6-8 freshman forward who does not play much. has a nice 15 foot jumper but just gets pushed around under the basket because he lacks bulk. he can rebound because he is a leaper but still very raw. only played a few minutes total in the 3 tourney games last weekend.

thats it for us - one senior in burgess and two juniors in daniels and theus. the rest are sophomores and freshman. Shaka will have us ready. its just a matter of whether we execute or not and can stay out of foul trouble. This is the one matchup i didnt want to see in the first round. Stinks for both of us - see you guys in Portland !!

Screw Bilas, he just called us out to be upset by VCU on ESPN. Dissed our wheatshocker mascot too and said to go with the ram.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

So your saying that we needed $$$ to get CH. We have several great recruits committed and wanting to attend WSU in the future- We dont have to pay! Not buying this story 4 a minute.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
