Look I will completely and totally solve your problem. Yeah it was classless, and to any VCU people viewing this, I offer apologies. Having said that however, the holier than though attitude exhibited, AFTER I edited the post is the last straw. I will follow the Shox from a distance. No more SASO fees, no more season tickets, no more long trips to Wichita for games, no more even longer trips to St. Louis for the tournament. Now if someone would kindly help me with deleting my profile on here we will be finished.

On the other hand, if you give so much pressure that a foul is called (I don't think that we fouled), then you put them on the line anyway. I think that the instructions were to apply pressure but don't foul. A difficult assignment. That's why I don't think that we can second guess and know what happened.

We have senior guards, they should and will handle VCUs pressure defense

They start a 7 foot center, but he plays limited minutes and only averages a couple points. I wonder what their game plan for Stutz will be?

Yes, I don't see the pressure getting to our guys at all. 12 turnovers or less and we win going away.

Athletic wise, they match-up just as good as anybody. Prediction, we pull a 2008 Drake - 5 seed knocked out in their first game.

Had we got past VCU, I actually liked our chances against Indiana.

Last Season, at the Garden, Stutz and Hatch really stepped it up a notch. This Season, we have 5 Seniors, Williams, and Hall that could step right into that role. It is fine if we win by a 7-fold balanced committee of Shox!!!!!!! We may so choose to go deeper than that with EO and Cotton. When we control the boards, play the D, make our throws, and keep the turnovers down to under 10, we are a very, very, very difficult team to beat.

"The Experts" on ESPNU. Panel of six all pick WSU to win.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I agree, "12 turnovers or less and we win going away". Problem is WSU averages slightly more than 12 TOs a game, so it would not be totally unexpected to see the Shocks have more than 12 and still win. The key is that we also have a solid D and VCU averages 11 TOs per game, so keep the TOs very close and negate one of their best strengths. Opponents out rebound them, we are a plus 7 in rebounds, we have a better FG%, 3%, and FT% (their opponents have a better FG%), they average out scoring their opponents by less then 9, we out score ours by 15+, our SOS rank is about 100 positions better than theirs, they beat UNI by 9 at home, we beat UNI by 25 at home.

All this said, they are a hot team right now and I would have rathered play a number of the 10 and 11 seeds other than them.

It really appears we have the better team, but not by much. Thus, we must come out focused with the energy level and tenacity that we had versus UNLV and in Omaha. Let's hope we are shooting the rock good and I really think we can out-rebound them. Every loose ball needs to be captured and our D can fuel our offense, no matter what happens. When it comes down to it, we have 5 solid Seniors with lots of experience. This should pay dividends for our beloved Shocks.
