Can anyone tell me what our shooting percentage for the year is compared to theirs? I dont think we will blow them out/win by double digits predict we win by 7 to 9 pts. Apparently their greatest penchant is forcing turnovers? Have to be careful of that
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:
--------------------------------------- Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare: "We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said: "That's the definition of a stool sample."
Thankfully Rodriguez is gone. It still sticks in my gut that Marshall defended The last 4.6 seconds poorly. Most of the game we put some kind of full court pressure, which delayed Rodriguez advancing into forecourt. For whatever reason Marshall didn't pressure in the backcourt at all which allowed Rodriguez to get to the rim...and thus the Rags foul.
Well, we remember some similarities with a different slant. Joe scores after Rodriquez misses a rare throw, Rags scores in no time and we have a 1 point lead. Yes, they wanted the ball in Rodriquez hand because he rarely misses throws. He dribbles down to the corner, about 12-15' away--Rags contests his shot clean. However hark--wait---it is not over until it is over. The shot has no chance--however, there of course is a whistle. On the replay, it did appear there was no foul on the arm effecting the shot. However, it appeared that Rag's hip may have inadvertently touched him--thus here comes the whistle blowing. We still had a shot at the buzzer that missed. Oh well--it happens and now we can right this Shocker turnip truck and make it all feel better--much much better.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
We lead the nation with steals per game at 10.6, and our opponents have averaged a 0.55 assist to TO. Defense is the priority for Shaka and his Havoc.
Saw the Bracket Buster game against Northern Iowa... the Panthers looked pathetic... but our guards are better than UNI's. Will absolutely be a tough game...
I just caught the last of the broadcast when I tuned it, but I thought one of the announcers said that one of their star players would not be playing? Maybe it was another team, but I thought they were talking about VCU.

If 3G moves on, you should be at the top of the replacement list.

I heard the same thing but thought they were talking about Indiana
33% of the 5/12 ends in upset. If VCU was playing some other 5-Seed they would be one of my picks to be that team that upsets the 5-seed. They play great pressure defense. They do have their weaknesses.

We have one player out injured, Heath Houston, but he would not be what you call a star. He played limited minutes before his season ended with a micro-fracture surgery on his right knee in January.
I remember the play well. I wanted them to double Rodriquez because they really had no one else on the team that could get the ball up the court that fast under control.
Wow disappointing was hoping you would play a BCS school. I am so disappointed you are in the same region as Kentucky...that is the only thing I didn't want.
Sweet 16 is most likely the best you guys can do now. I really thought you guys were going to make final 4 I think you can beat Michigan State, Syracuse, Duke, ect but I can't see it vs Kentucky.
Here is hoping you make the sweet 16...stupid you play VCU the committee sucks!
