No offense meant respectfully, but I feel like that is way way big a generalization to make. Yes, all things are possible but what your suggesting just seems a bit off the wall. Im sure there are many people in Missouri who dont like Kansas, but I also know many many people from Missouri who dont hate Kansas. And I cant imagine anyone resenting a school just because of the state they are from...or if there are people out there who do that...just what?? Plus, I assume not all people who work for the MVC are from Missouri even if they live there now. A grudge like that, thats not something you would just magically get when you move in the state. Feel like that would be something that would have to be there for years and years before anyone would consider punishing WSU because we're in Kansas. Sorry, the concept just seems ridiculous. Your scenario of someone within WSU infuriating someone in the MVC is more likely and I think the odds of that are a million to one, if that. (Sorry. I do not prescribe to the conspiracy theory that the Valley is "trying to keep WSU down")

God we need something new to talk about so badly...

Haha, ok, well I never said their werent exceptions ;) But I still cant imagine anyone's hatred of a state in general being so bad that they would want to "put down" a team that is from there...especially one which makes them money... And Wichita isnt a state? It should be :sorrow:... ;)

I thought this topic had been put to bed. We sound like a bunch of -- well, never mind. God, the tournament can't start soon enough so we have something meaningful to talk about. Stupid topic -- again.

            The Valley was a multi-bid league from 1994 to 2007 except for 2 years (97 and 98).

Actually the Valley has mostly been a multi-bid league since mutliple bids started in 1975 (getting 2 bids that very first year).

The Valley has had two dry patches since multi-bids started where we were a one-bid conference for awhile. The first bad period was from 1989 to 1993- the Valley went 5 years without an at large bid. The second one was the most recent 4 year run from 2008 to 2011. Other than those two periods, the Valley has pretty much been a multi-bid conference ever since multiple bids started in 1975.
A little trivia for everyone...maybe to lighten things up a bit. In the last 18 years there have been 8 times Valley teams have made it to the sweet 16. What team and what year last made it to the elite 8?

Thanks for the correction. Hope this puts to bed the silly notion that HCGM wants out of the conference to one with multiple bids.

The team put this loss out of their heads. They've moved on. They're ready for the big dance. I suggest you do the same.
