A few thoughts…
I thought Porters last two minutes were his worst of te year… had a chance to put game out of reach, two VERY CARELESS mistakes

There are things that can justify lack of playing time that we fans can't see and may never know.
There are also things that we can see and know and ask, why is that kid getting any playing time.

In the end, you will see monzy in the portal and if he had eligibility remaining, you would see pleasant as your starting 4 next year. Future not looking bright.

We will probably gain as many transfers as we lose. HCIB's record on that is beyond abysmal.

Ricky was named player of the game, but without Dex in this game it's not even close enough for the Shocks to pull one out. Thanks Dex, on BOTH offense and defense.

Where is the pumper crowd at jamming out about this W?

Make no mistake, USF was horrible. This should’ve been a 20 point win, even for us. But this team was just paper cutting themselves the last 2 minutes of the game. It was hard to watch.

I still can’t find myself to cheer for WSU losses, even though it may be the best bet for the program. In 2 weeks, we’ll be 13-12 and 4-9. Not a great look.

Its really hard to watch where this program is at and the lack of enthusiasm in it after watching the last 10 years. Truly is sad.

In response for at least one of us...haven't really participated much except to check once in awhile because the usual nay sayers just keep spewing the same old crap game after game whether its a win or a loss. Does team two have a a blueprint for every game or do they just rehash the collective thought for each game. I'm done with this forum and will move over to the baseball forum unless if becomes polluted as well. Good luck to team two and I hope it works well for you to let the hate fester in your collective minds. Don't delude yourselves by announcing to one and all that all of the negative posts only shows how much you all really care for the program. Bye Bye

Re Monzy's PT I'll say this. He play's the four spot. Would you have
reduced DD's PT or RC's 5-6 minutes in order to play him? Credit IB
for NOT playing him more. We seem to play our best in the second half
with the line up of KP, DD, RC, TE and CP. Had we had Monzy in there
instead of DD OR RC later in the game we most probably would have lost.

Go watch Monzy in his 6 plus minutes of action very lackluster effort. Again, focus on him and not the overall action on the court, not good at all. The team was a minus 14 in his time on the court.

I just don’t get the love for the guy right now, he didn’t deserve any more time on the court than what he received last night.

Monzy gets hosed. He pays way more than others for his mistakes and gets no credit for his good play while being the highest energy guy on the team other than DD. I know he is not popular but I believe Qua will be a net positive in year 2 in the way some Juco guys are.

The lineup with all 5 bench players killed all the momentum. I believe the same thing happened in the k state game

I can't prove my theory one way or the other, but memory tells me FHCGM liked to sub early (often times way before the under 16) with a single sub, usually a big (not always because of an early foul) and I wonder if it was intentional to get a staggering (so to speak) of the rotation so as to avoid having a 6-10 only lineup.

HCIB seems to realize his top 5 are worth having on the floor more, and will keep it that way until they are gassed or get fouls. Just an observation, not commenting on whether one is better than the other.

Monzy is fun to watch, and seems like a high energy guy. But a chicken with its head cut off, running around would seem like high energy too! During game action, it looks like Monzy is lost on defense and takes too many questionable shots on offense. The quick hook might be due to what happens in practice, and monzy not correcting it

I will say, Monzy can be a very effective creator at times, and he definitely has some passing skills

if he is our full time 4, we are small again

Statistically we played well. Defense wasn’t real sharp. USF shot the ball good and made us pay. Fortunately the Shocks stepped it up the last 6 minutes. Hopefully we can win at Cincinnati and get a big win against Houston. Go Shocks! I haven’t given up.
