I heard awhile back that the NCAA was looking at adding women's beach volleyball as a sanctioned sport. Never heard anything more about it. Too bad, I'd pay money for that.

I think if the MVC would drop a few and add a few it would be fine. But the tourney needs to alternate between St. Louis and KC. Oh, and Elgin needs to go too.

Butler and ORU would be better than Evansville and Indiana St. That's only one more private school than the MVC has now.

I'd there still talk of UNI dropping sports altogether?

They very much were...Pac 12 was taking OU, OSU, UT and TT, no room for KU there. B1G = NO, SEC=NO, ACC =NO....The BE was going to step in and offer KU, KSU and ISU but then their conference started to implode and the BIG12 flipped the script on them. I think the BIG 12 is going to be OK now and will add at least L'Ville and BYU plus there is a chance they add FSU and Clemson. But who really knows at this point...Fact is for WSU, their options are very limited and I hate to c that.

They didn't want KU if it was going to be a package deal with KSU. Brownback and Co. were trying to make it so KSU was chained to KU.

The ACC can keep Clemson, actually. Just take us. I don't think college football is ready for Clemson and WVU to be playing each other yearly.

Being a newbie has nothing to do with number of posts, and everything to do with join date. Not that it really matters, but this is the third version of ShockerNet to which I have been a member, so I go back far beyond July 2005. And I believe Marty goes back even further than I do. So for you to have joined only two weeks ago, and immediately begin by chastising a long term member like Marty simply because you were to lazy to do a simple search to find out a thread on this subject already existed, not only makes you a lazy newbie, it also makes you an arrogant newbie.

Because it's nice to think about better things than what we're currently stuck in. I suppose we could all just sit on our thumbs and wait for this conference to completely fall apart and then deal with the **** we're left.

Troll????? LOL. I didnt know you had to affirm ur fandom on this board, but if want a Bio here you go....I attended my first WSU game in 1978 against Indy St. and Larry Bird. It was a great game, Cheese was out but Tyrone Augburn (sp) had a great game but WSU lost it late by 10. My second game was later that year against the second best team in the league, NM St. It was senior nite, Cheese had a great game, I still remember winging american cheese slices around Levitt. Can you imagine the school passing out cheese slices pregame, what a great clean up that must of been. Anyway the Shox won a great game in the last minute. Now can you imagine someone remembering those games 35 years after the fact if they are not a fan? You are right, I didnt go to WSU my three brothers did. I did go to a Big 8 school (not in KS) and although I root like crazy for that team you cant take the city out the boy and I am now a SASO donor and season tix holder. As far as my accurate statement regarding Football, my point is if a program like KU has to scramble to keep its place in a BCS conference because they dont bring the TV sets then teams like WSU are not going to be able to dictate conference affiliation. You can thank the four letter network for that...cant even watch the Rose Bowl on free TV anymore....Ty ESPN. As far as Moose...being a new poster....and doing a search. I have been a long time lurker here and after the ISU loss everyone was talking about leaving for a better conference in game threads....I just dont see any options out there but I wanted get everyone's take. I guess there were four (not 20) other threads from the past dedicated to this.... sorry I missed them. Good nite
