What else is the President of K-State going to say to the chair of the committee that determines how much state funding K-state gets? No we are never going to play your university.

I think the KSU President was just trying to curry favor with the committee chair to protect his budget.

It was nice reading it in the paper, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the game to happen.

I guess we should give kudos to the committee chair for at least using her influence to try and nudge the President into considering scheduling a game against WSU. I hope Sen. McGinn asks the same question to the President of KU when they come before the committee to present their budget request.

KSU really has nothing to gain by playing WSU. Either they will get beat, or they will get beat. At best, they would have finished 3rd in the Valley.

I'm not sure WE have much to gain by playing K-State. On the other hand, we don't have much to lose--the game won't affect our RPI since KSU is Division II...
