Has any team in any league WSU has been a part of won it one year, have the COY, and league MVP, lost 2 starters, return said coach and MVP and dropped to 8th?? That almost takes effort.

Just a gut feeling but I think half the roster is gone after this season. Having 4+ guys leave is going to be the new normal.

Basically players are free agents after each season with this new structure.

No offense, but I get tired of "gut feelings". Say it once and move on to facts and things that are at least here say from a source. What happens one game doesn't translate to the next game. We used to be "Road Warriors", but this year, we aren't very good on the road, so predicting a road loss is likely to be right. We've had a couple of really good games at home, but then we follow up with a "dud". That's why I'm not overly optimistic for the AAC Tournament. This team is a hard one to figure out what will happen next, and gut feelings just don't do it.

Just lower expectations, we are not good this year. We will probably lose to Memphis and win the next couple games after that. We'll go to the tourney and probably win one game and lose the next. Maybe we'll get a CBI invite, we should probably take it so these guys can get more practice in.

Given only half the roster has returned the last couple years (16 players on the roster last year and the year before, only 7-8 returned each year) I don't think anyone will be surprised if it happens again.

Fair points. With that said, 95 percent of Shockernet is opinion and gut feelings. Unless someone has an inside source, there wouldn't be a lot to talk about if it was just the plain facts.

Why does everyone think we'll have a mass exodus? Didn't you all see how excited they were when IB announced he is the permanent head coach? They got what they wanted, why would they leave that?
