I would take Porter over AG. If you go back and look at the Tulane game we were rolling until HCIB took Porter out with around 7 or 8 minutes to go. We started losing the lead and by the time he put Porter back in we were struggling. Then the plays all started going through Tyson and we never recovered. I did like AG as our pg better than anyone else on this team besides Porter though.

Hell, I wanted more of Porter last year. When he was healthyish, the team ran better with him than AG. AG was constantly criticized last year, and rightfully so, for dribbling too much and being selfish and playing way too much hero ball. That is exactly the opposite of what this team needs, and is not what CP is.

I think AG was a better penetrator and dish guy, as well as drawing fouls, but presented little scoring ability.
While CP doesn't seem to draw the fouls and less dishes, he does have good ability to score.

Craig has improved through this season but he got his pocket picked early in the season and was zero threat to score. He didn’t even look at the basket. We find ourselves in these player comparison arguments but it’s mostly about the instruction.Last edited by Shockm; February 1, 2022, 09:28 PM.
