I like incorporating 3G's radio show into the activities.

A great opportunity to show Coach Marshall how much we appreciate him.

Details of Shocker Selection Show Watch Party Announced

WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State will host a public NCAA Selection Show Watch Party with Head Coach Gregg Marshall and the 2012 men's basketball team on the floor of Charles Koch Arena Sunday afternoon.

Doors open at 3:45 p.m., and festivities begin at 4 p.m., with the Gregg Marshall Radio Show live with Mike Kennedy from the Charles Koch Arena floor leading into CBS NCAA Selection Show at 5 p.m.

When the radio show ends at 5 p.m., WSU fans can then watch the selection show live on the Charles Koch Arena video board, and concession stands will be open.

Doors open at 3:45 p.m. The WSU Spirit Squad and WUShock will also entertain.

Sunday's Gregg Marshall Radio Show replaces the Monday night show.

Wow...I'm suprised, this sounds organized and not boring with the Hitman promissing that the team will be here any minute!

I remember. I also remember the boos when Brent Musburger predicted St. Johns to the second round. I still hate Musburger to this day.
"Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. He told me that if he tried to get his team ready to play me, it would upset his team the rest of the season." Gene Johnson, WU Basketball coach, 1928-1933.

Are you sure he said they would go 2nd round, and not that they'd cover the spread?

I also remember Musberger saying that. He said something like, well it looks like St. John's will be in the 2nd round.

Whoever was on camera with him, interjected that maybe not, WSU has a solid team this year, or something like it.

I remember that too. It was 1987. The last year that we won the Valley tournament. We beat Tulsa on their home court to get the auto-bid. Tulsa went into the dance as an at large team.

We were seeded #11 against #6 St. Johns. The game was played in Chicago and we ended up losing by 2 points. It was a very tight game the whole way, it is too bad we couldn't have pulled off the upset and made Brent eat his words.
