This is atrocious!!! So much for benching people when they played “hero ball”. Tyson’s air ball in the first half which lead to the easy dunk was the end of the game (even though we were already behind). But that moment spoke volumes. We have been completely outplayed and have no answers to a team as talented as Memphis. Joe Pleasant should not be on the floor. Pohto, although he must hit threes in practice, needs to stop shooting them in games and get tough under the basket. This game just made me ill . If we raved about IB’s “great job” last year (which I didn’t), we have to blame him for much this year. This is not our first meltdown this year…it’s number 3 or 4. This is not Shocker basketball. We need athletes (were so outclassed today). WE DID NOT DEFEND THE HOME COURT (which was IB’s big statement to the team according to Taylor). We laid a huge egg in front of the loyal fans who braved the weather and a national audience. Many commented that they thought there was NO CHANCE this game would be played…I only wish those predictions were correct.

Gee, I remember Marshall coaching us to a huge win against Nationallly ranked Memphis just a few seasons ago…in front of a HUGE home crowd. Ah, those were the days.
