First game I haven't watched in I dont know how long. Wife and kids about to go to bed. Vacation week for me. Think I'll get all comfortable on the coach with a warm blanket and a cold one (or two) to see this Monzy character you all speak of. Go Shocks!!!!!!

I see the issue with Ricky is that he tries to make everything a highlight reel play. Sometimes good, old fashioned fundamental play works just fine.

He was decent on the defensive end.

Not sure how to evaluate this game. The energy, especially in the first half seemed quite good. Seems like they were getting the ball into the front court quicker giving themselves a few more seconds to work their offense. Pretty good ball movement. 20 assists on 31 baskets is good.

Now they need to prove they can play well against AAC competition.

If Ricky can stay put until he's an upperclassmen he could be a double digit average type player. Right now his decision making is pretty immature. No need to elaborate further.

Watching the sausage being made so far this year has been a little nauseating. But the final product, a 9-3 record, is certainly palatable. But concerns that the recipe is bit unstable and hard to reproduce consistently remain.

I wonder if all this travelling is wearing down a bit. The two biggest losses this season are in the last 2 games. By 37 points to Boise State and by 36 points to the Shockers. There only other 30+ point loss was by 35 to #25 Texas Tech in mid-November.

PVAM started the season with 2 games in California, then back to Washington, DC for a game vs Michigan, then back to West to Sillwater, Lubbock, Pheonix and Los Angeles, then back to the upper midwest to Brookings, SD, then to Boise and then to Wichita. They must be paying for their team travel with frequent flyer miles.

The schedule actually eases up a bit for them as their next game is in Valparaiso.which will be the lowest ranked D-1 team they play on their non-con schedule.

So, since I didn't see it mentioned in this thread, how come Ricks wasn't listed as RS?

Taylor did say suited but redshirting for Abidde and Chapman. Ricks will not be suited as he just had surgery on his knee.

Ricks hasn't suited up for most of the season. He's a certain RS. Abidde has suited up. He's "available" if needed, but it would take some MAJOR issues to pull his RS.

I have a feeling Chapman is auditioning for a scholly and doesn't want to waste a year of eligibility if he can get one at WSU (or somewhere else if that's the way it would have to be). Probably waiting for his brother to show up in the portal.

I heard that comment also. I thought he mentioned something about turning off the cell phones and social media and focusing on basketball and getting better. Someone correct me if I’m wrong? Unfortunately, I had a couple of interruptions during the post game show.
