As such, I am willing to give the team a little more time to figure things out.
You think this team is capable of beating Houston?

    ... No really, deuces.

IIRC even Mike Cohen had a big win, although I can't remember the game other than I think he jumped and tore up his knee.

If they did, would you give them any credit? haha

I'm not sure if they can beat Houston, but the point is that they still have opportunities to prove the doubters wrong (I currently consider myself a doubter).

Not even accounting for what was accomplished last year .. but 11 games into the new year we have 3 losses and have fans calling for the coaches job.
Think we're pretty much in agreement. Anyone calling for HCIB's job is pointless as it is simply not going to happen any time soon. Nevertheless, I do not believe he wants to be known as the coach that may put the program back in the 90's. With the changes going on in the AAC and the financial crunch WSU is finding itself due to Covid, this is the absolute worst time to be overly patient with poor performance for both players and coaching staff. I believe he needs to be more proactive (if it is not already too late). I do not believe I'm overreacting. These are unusual times.

I don't think they have a chance of beating Houston this year ... then again .. I didn't think they had a chance last year either ....

I don't get it either. I mean he has shown brief flashes, can play defense and is a big body. Seems like more of a role player type to me.

Before he said that, he said they have to get Kenny more minutes at the 4 as well. Your choices to get those minutes from are Monzy and DD. Did I mention that those 2 happen to be the top 2 FT shooters along with DD being tied in 2nd for rebounds and 3rd in steals and Monzy #1 in rebounds per minute played?

If you want more minutes, step up and play well. That's how you get more minutes.....Unless your name is Kenny Pohto.

I do think Joe gets crapped on more than he deserves here. He's not flashy. He's not great. He does do most everything well though and is a guy who can eat minutes when necessary. He's going to play solid D. He's going to box out. He's going to knock down a decent percentage of open looks. He's not going to create a lot or wow anyone, but he does things well.

With that said, I'd rather see Kenny get some minutes at the 4, especially if he's determined to play Mo 30 minutes a game. I'm good with rolling the dice with Monzy. High energy and will track down boards and loose balls that others won't. He knocks down a solid percentage from deep and I don't cringe when he shoots. You do take the good with the bad with him as he's going to commit some stupid fouls, mostly based on trying to do a little too much at times, and you're probably going to get a few turnovers here and there because he hasn't figured out yet how to contain his energy at times and it gets away from him. But I do feel Joe can be a solid anchor that isn't going to hurt us much, but isn't going to give us a ton either.

I'd rather see those guys get most of the minutes at the 4 and let Dex stay on the wing. He's capable of playing the 4 as we've seen plenty of times, and in certain situations it might make some sense, but I think he's more valuable elsewhere. And his shots have to start falling at some point. We know he's capable.
