I noticed from the MSU/Evansville box score last night that 2 points were awarded to the "team." Anybody know the details of that?

I'm going to have to give the semifinal advantage to Creighton. Check out the minutes logged by the Aces late last night (38, 37, 35, 33). They may be on a roll in the first half, but they will need a 20 point lead at halftime so they can withstand the dead legs in the second half.

I am assuming that was 2 team points awarded to MSU. There was a play in the 2nd half where I think it was Kyle Weems missed a baseline jumper. MSU had no one in the lane. Evansville had about 4 guys around the basket. The rebound came off the rim a little hard and one of the Evansville players inadvertantly tipped the ball into the MSU basket.

Just noticed this- First round, 9 & 10 seeds lost. Second round, 5-8 seeds lost. It's a nice little progression of watching the lower seeds lose. I'm hopeful it continues all the way through to Sunday.

But first, bring on Illinois State. We turned the Sycamores into firewood. Now let's roast some Redbirds!

I noticed that as well. The one year, with the muddle in the middle, that you would think seedings might not hold (especially in the 1st two rounds of games) and not one lower seed wins. I guess the MVC can argue (at least this year) that they had the correct tiebreaking system in place.

Fox Sports Midwest is the lead FSN channel that is picking it up. Not sure if they're televising it on a national level on their other regional channels.
