Yes. Weber pointed out how much Isaac Likekly was in Tyson's grill (face guarding) the entire game. Likely is built like a Power Forward, 6'5 215 lbs. and very athletic. Tyson was definitely a target of OSU's. He will probably have at least a little more freedom tomorrow.

Can’t say the athletic department didn’t try.

They got greedy and overpriced the upper bowl. Previous games at IBA had nosebleed seats as low as $11. This year… $20? In covid times and this economic climate? Not a great strategy.

This last ditch discount probably comes too late. Probably should’ve fired that up right after the OSU game.

They maximized their income on this game by taking this approach, I'm sure. But it's a little near-sighted to always focus on maximizing the short term dollar. It's way better to have kids and families filling every single seat at a lower profit margin, because you are creating a recurring revenue stream in the future by doing that. They really should focus on growing their fan base (by pricing to sell out every single game) instead of trying to extract every dollar they can from the market they have (which will shrivel over time).

Covid will probably have a big night too!

We have just over 50% of Kansans vaccinated and many less than that boosted.

Sedgwick County COVID-19 hospitalization status back to critical (12/02/21)
Right now Sedgwick county is clocking a 9% 14-day rolling positivity rate. Let's be super generous and say that the IBA attendees will reflect only 25% of that number. In a crowd of 15,000, that would be about 338 folks walking around belching the alien seed into the air.

As the preeminent Covid-19 consultant of this forum, I'm only going to say this: the 7-10,000 that will be in attendance and vulnerable to (re)infection due to diminished immunity, should fully weigh their risk if they have one of the following underlying medical conditions:
                            • Chronic kidney disease
                            • COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
                            • Obesity (BMI of 30 or higher)
                            • Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant
                            • Serious heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
                            • Sickle cell disease
                            • Type 2 diabetes

Oh... and be sure and read the disclaimer affixed to every entrance to the arena.

                            That'll be all!

Please be safe and stay home if you have symptoms or are otherwise feeling unwell.

That is a bit misleading. We have nearly 70% of Kansas adults (18+) that are vaccinated. My guess is that # is higher among basketball fans.
