Last year I wished that Craig Porter would be more aggressive on offense. He checked that box last night.
We’ve heard a lot of comments about his athleticism shining now that he’s healthy. He showed it off last night with some tough rebounds, a block and some acrobatic finishes at the rim.
There is a year worth of evidence that says Porter doesn’t turn the ball over very often so I’m going to write off his four TO’s as a fluke until I see otherwise.
Bottom line I’m more encouraged than discouraged by what I saw overall.

I think Porter is going to play significant minutes this year no matter how good Grant is. The fact that he showed he is capable of providing more of a scoring punch than last year is encouraging to me.

Why is game production (not action on the court) still so hilariously poor? Why do we struggle with this so much? How many of you were allowed to do your job in an incompetent and unprofessional manner just because you're new? That don't fly in the real world employment market.
Everything about the WSU game experience is amateur hour, outside of the play on the court.
Doesn’t excuse past years but I am genuinely curious.

Saying “four turnovers is bad” is not insightful analysis.
The point I’m trying to make still stands. I wanted to see him be more aggressive on offense this year and for one night he was and I’m encouraged by that.Last edited by pie n eye; November 2, 2021, 03:25 PM.

Ok. So, do you weight this one game more heavily than the 19 games last year against D1 competition where he turned the ball over once every other game and had a 2.8 A/TO ratio?

1. There was only like one of the goofy time out games that people used to complain about constantly.
2. Ted took several opportunities, many more than in the past, to pump up the crowd coming of time outs.
Both of those things were positives in my opinion.
So far the two complaints I’ve seen are “they didn’t play the National anthem when I THOUGHT THEY SHOULD!” and that the team didn’t come out during the bring ‘em out song.
Newsflash, the team has never come out during the bring em out song.
As far as the anthem goes…that doesn’t seem like a big deal and/or is easily fixable.
