Time will tell how good Wichita State, Jacksonville State and South Alabama are.

It’s a lazy assumption that we should beat team A and B’s ass simply because we don’t recognize the name on their jersey. The most obvious example would be ORU last year.

Maybe you all are right and we’re headed for a buzz saw in Vegas. It’s possible.

It’s also possible that Tyson isn’t going to shoot 25% from three this year (he’s a career 37%), that Dexter will improve his current 17% three point shooting (career 35%) and Mo will find a groove after struggling from the field - 36% from the field so far (60% career mark).

Arizona's first two games were against KenPom >310 ... tonight they play KenPom 127 .. so it might give us a better idea of where they are at in comparison.

Either way, we will both be the best team either team has seen all year so far.

While I certainly wouldn't put money on Wichita State to beat Arizona. And we will, rightfully so, be underdogs in that game.....

We have the talent to beat Arizona and all it takes is one good night.

No reason to feel like this is an impossible task or anything. They are definitely big, but it doesn't immediately make them unbeatable.

If we can win 1 in Vegas (even if it is against UNLV) I will be ok with that. But let's just win 2 just for the hell of it! Lol

That's why I said we better hit our 3s in this game. I don't see much happening in the paint due to their size. Maybe this will be a game to utilize KP from outside. If they get hot from the arc, we certainly can win. Just haven't seen them able to get good shots so far and confidence is not high. I'll be rooting them on no matter what.

I’ve just heard the “they’re bigger than us in the paint” thing many times before only to see the actual game results be neutral or favor the shockers.

I have to respectfully disagree on the shot quality. I see us getting open threes and looks at the rim but not cashing in, especially last game. On Taylor’s rewatch he graded 16/28 shots as “great”. Take that for what it’s worth.

Like you said, we’ll both be rooting for them. I’m eager to see how the weekend in Vegas turns out, it will be a good gauge id where the shockers are right now.

I'm not confident in Mo having success against their larger players.

Better call the boys and tell ‘em not to bother getting on the plane.

                          Prediction?

Since you seem to always harp on others who do who you don’t agree with. Don’t hedge.

I mean... Looking at the evidence we have today... Arizona should blow us out.

Then again Oregon blew out SMU and now is about to lose by 30+ to BYU ... So who knows what will happen

I don't think we beat Arizona. But I think we beat UNLV.

Leave Vegas with 1 win and I will be ok with it.

Win against Arizona would be nice. And it isn't impossible. I just don't think we are ready for them right now and it's probably not a great matchup.

Our season doesn't hinge on Arizona. Plenty of other good opportunities to pick up good wins and I think we will.

                                I will add

I don't think we will get embarrassed by Arizona. We will likely be the toughest team they will have faced up to thus point. They have had easy wins and will probably be feeling a little overconfident. I think our guys will play tough defense. I just don't trust our offense obviously.

I think/hope we keep it respectable
