  • Masking, vaccination, and social distancing

Just reading about Pres. Mama’s letter requiring WSU employees to all be vaccinated by Dec. 8. The part that made me nervous is about guests on campus having to engage in masking and social distancing. Anyone know whether this means 2,500 people attending games again?

From Muma's letter to the community...

"Additionally, absent an exemption, all individuals on campus — employees, students and visitors – regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear masks and physically distance (to the extent required in the order). This includes indoor and outdoor spaces, classrooms, labs and social events. This masking and physical distancing requirement is effective Monday, October 25, 2021. "

For the faculty, this is legalized blackmail—get vaccinated or lose your job. And I don’t see how the fans can be exempted from masks if it is required in all campus buildings. Same goes for social distancing.

This is infuriating. Will Shocker Sound be allowed to play? How can they with masks. Hey, we can at least have the drummer. Many majors are totally screwed by this. And there is no protocol listed as to what could change the mandate. This is open ended and a disaster unless modifications are made—-and it is for KSU and KU as well come Monday. Welcome to the Kremlin.

        A typical Libtard.
They claim to "follow the science" but then enact shortsighted and juvenile policies such as this boner.
It's the old 'ostrich with its head in the sand' thought process. Because we all know how well the shutdowns worked last year (actually there were quite effective killing small businesses).

        That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

At Allegiant Stadium you must be vaccinated to attend the Raiders game but do not need to wear a mask.

As much as this is partly on Muma, it’s on a LOT of others as well including KBOR. KSU and KU are in the same boat. This is a statewide edict for the major universities…and stinks to high heaven. It’s all about money and federal programs/funding. In short, KBOR and the universities caved.

It may be time for fans to just show up force their way in. I kid only partially. At some point enough is enough.

This stuff will all be reversed once they realize how foolish they look when every away venue is fully attended without makes requirements.

So I assume if you’re actively eating their $10 nachos and $8 hot dogs you’ll be ok not to wear one?

The states need to fast track the suits to the SCOTUS. It has to go through the State Courts first, before the federal courts, but it can be hurried through if the SCOTUS wishes to take the case. The Executive Order will be declared unconstitutional imo.
