KU wins championships in one of the most overrated BCS basketball leagues on the planet. The Big One has exactly ONE more national title than the MVC in the last 25 years. 1-0. Any league that is dominated by one school isn't that great. KU is a great program and should be applauded, but that conference is a joke.
Too bad Marshall couldn't land the Wichita players... Ellis would do nicely in yellow and black.

Channel 12 had a question a couple of weeks ago from a viewer (stating that they spent too much time on WSU) and Roger Cornish said that "they are the hometown team". That's why they are the No. 1 Television news program. Channel 10 used to know that the Shockers come first (when they were the No. 1 news program) but they don't anymore to their detriment. Their problem is that 10 has so many sports and news people from elsewhere, they don't know Wichita and therefore don't know any better. I'm not a Bruce fan, but I do enjoy Sunday night Sports with Parson et al."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Over the years different stations did the TV coaches shows. I think KAKE had it during the part of the 90's then KWCH... before that I can't remember."Valley-shaking, nation-waking 29-game win streak." - Paul Suellentrop, The Wichita Eagle

Originally posted by ShockTalk View PostNot impressed at all. IMHO, Bruce was either assigned the WSU game being the lead sports guy who should cover a big local sports story or didn't want to go through a week long barrage of Shocker fans calling for his WSU alum head. Somehow I just feel he would have rather been in Lawrence.
