Jason King's summary of the five teams is interesting. It is very, very positive about the Shocks.

That is one awesome pic! Two high-flyers in a packed, 18,000-seat arena.

The perspective reminds me of the shot of Ogirri going up for a dunk late in the Seton Hall game.

Wichita State is no longer living up to its nickname. The team that has lost just one game in 2012 isn’t exactly shocking anyone anymore, not after spanking Missouri Valley leader Creighton in Omaha and then turning a BracketBuster game against Davidson into a laugher.

            God I love this guy.

Gregg Marshall: These guys are tremendously focused and tough, physically and mentally tough. They have a lot of pride. They know how close they were to the NCAA tournament last year and I think they’re a little chapped.

Gregg Marshall: We came back from that Creighton game and I told them to not only make sure they were on time for their classes on Monday, but to go early. I told them that everyone is going to be watching you, to see how you handle this, to see if you’re letting it go to your head. They want to make sure it doesn’t trip you up in terms of your character, but this is such a good group.

They’re fine. I just need to stay out of their way and not mess them up.

Gregg Marshall: Here, we’re a high-major. We average 10,000 fans a game. I make over a $1 million a year. We fly on private planes? What’s mid-major about us?

We just don’t have a BCS football team.

Our guys are high major. Joe Ragland could play anywhere in the country. Kentucky offered (leading scorer) Garrett Stutz when Billy Gillispie was the coach. We’ve got some guys that can play.

Gregg Marshall: No doubt our guys have a chip on their shoulder. They’d love to get a piece of some of those quote-unqoute high-major programs. If you don’t bar the door on us, you better be careful.

Yes, that was a great Q&A. 3G gets it when it comes to dealing with the press. He is a great interview.

Probably, but does a tree that falls in the forest make a sound?

Can we send Matilda a honey badger?

I agree, it is a fantastic photo. The photo has several interesting elements. Coach McDermott watching, the flying, closeness of Toure's and #12's bodies, Dougie pouring on the speed (not) and others. There is a lot to see in the photo. Joe blocking out.

As much as anything it shows you why 3G likes to recruit long, athletic players. This phota shows the value of those kind of players about as well as you could do it. A picture worth a 1,000 words and all that.

I know I'm just being overly sensitive, but I'm really tired of these bonehead sports morons who thinks it's funny when they make reference to electricity or being surprised, when discussing our WHEATSHOCKERS! Please change our name back to WHEATSHOCKERS. But beyond that, 3G was great. Especially when the moron referred to us as Mid-Major.

Yeah, even in the part where he's supposed to put the negatives they're still positive. The best he could come up with was that each of our positions might have trouble against the best players in the nation at each position....luckily we'll never play an all star team with players from KU, UK, Syracuse...and so on.
