(Hypothetical situation): How would you feel if the athletic department significantly raised ticket prices based upon information that those on the season ticket waiting list are ready to pay the higher ticket prices? The assumption is that increased revenue will be used to retain the current coach and bring the compensation closer in line with top 20 programs.

If you knew you couldn't afford the increased ticket prices but there is another fan that is currently waiting to write that check and sit in your seats would you be OK with that knowing a coach like Marshall is here to stay for the long term?

Again a completely hypothetical situation and not one that you would have a say in the matter.

I will say that I am a season ticket holder that is probably on the financial edge of being able/willing to afford another ticket increase. However, if the assumptions hold true in the above hypothetical then I would be perfectly fine with the administration raising tickets knowing I wouldn't have my tickets anymore.

If ticket prices and/or SASO contributions increase too much more, I may have to ask my little group if we want to pony up or go from 4 to 2 seats and divvy up the games. Would see fewer games in person, but would cut cost dramatically.

What I should have really said is - there is no waiting list for season tickets. There is no line of potential season ticket buyers waiting for some one to give up seats.

But I think many passed up tickets when they found out the true cost. My wife and I were going to get 2 tickets this year. Row 25 in the middle of the section and we were told over $1100 for them. I think that might have had parking passes but still it was alot either way. Needless to say I didn't have season tickets.

Sexton should put a package together called Hang with Coach. 20 of the elite SASO members each give $25k a year to get a round of golf (Flint National), and dinner with coach and six of their friends. Plus a minimum of two away games with the team and beginning of season tournament (Cancun). Of course this is probably already occurring.

The other half would come from 9,000 season tickets at an additional $55 per person, or increase signage and ad revenues. There's your $1 millon.

SN has already been deluged with complaints about increased ticket pricing and the endless in-game promos. Now we have a thread encouraging more of both. SN has become something of an enigma.

How about fewer, but more expensive ads? If they have as many as they currently do, they're apparently not charging enough.
