    PG: Armstead
    SG: Williams
SF: Wiggins (yes, I'm calling it now)
    PF: Early
    C: Hall

Demetric has elevated all parts of his game except shooting. I expect that to catch up by next season. Wiggins will see the need we have for a SF. I won't speculate on who doesn't return or doesn't show up next season to accommodate him.

I fully expect we will use a lot of guards next year and try to run teams out of the gym. Armstead, Williams, Cotton, Baker, VanVleet, Mitchell and a little bit of Wessel.

I think Hall would actually fo better at the 5 than the 4 in Marshall's system. Both White and Early have some shooting range. Early appears to have good handles and the ability to drive. Count on White to come back 10 pounds stronger. Hall should also be stronger (that's scary).

Early provides the possibility of a 3/4 combo. A 4" taller version of Ben Smith with better handles?

Put EO in there and that's the front court rotation.

We can be assured that Williams starts. Armstead is the experienced PG, so he's a likely starter. Cotton is likely to be stronger, and faster next year (another scary thought). EVERYBODY who's been around the team swears that Baker gets minutes. Van Vleet probably gets minutes to get on-court D1 experience.

That's 5 backcourt players and Mitchell and Wessel aren't in there. Somebody's got to be on the bench. I think it's harder to figure out who doesn't get minutes than who gets minutes.

The redshirt options are intriguing. VanVleet, Green, Hawkins and Uwadiae could all be considered as redshirt candidates. There isn't a pressing need for any of them to be on the court next year.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Who is Wiggins?? Have I missed something, because I have not heard of the guy.

Also, I know red shirt options will be plentiful, but I don't want VanVleet to be a redshirt simply because I wanna see the dude play!

No one on this list is a very good perimeter shooter (at least not yet). Maybe White can be but it'd be nice to have a couple of people who are perimeter shooters and that can get to the rim too. However, almost everyone we have coming back and all of our recruits are great athletes. Our transition game should be great but if a team packs it in (like ISU, and MSU did recently) and forces a half court game, we may not have an answer Nothing more fun to watch than great athleticism and transition game.

When Marshall was at Winthrop, they won their conference regular season, or post season, or both, seven years straight. Now that he has his program locked in here, I expect WSU to be a serious MVC title threat, regular season, post season or both, every year.

I'm not sure if VanVleet will have to be a frosh starter, but I believe he could be (like Nic Moore at Illinois State). Serious mention for Illinois Mr Basketball? Self probably did kick himself for missing out on him.

Now, Baker, Early etc get to play with a guy (VanVleet) that legit makes his teammates better? Awesome, baby (Dick Vitale)!

sidenote: man, they do love Lin in NY

I don't mind reading through this stuff. So by all means keep posting. Just don't want to seem like I am one of those..."FOCUS ONLY ON THIS YEAR" type of people because I'm not. I'm just going to save my opinions on this type of stuff till after the season. The offseason is so dang long I need something to talk about during that time LOL. Plus I want to see what happens the first month or two after the season (roster changes...etc that could happen) before I really dig into this stuff.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

This!!! Baker will be off the bench and ready to rock as will be Hawkins,, Cotton, EO, White, and Fred, etc. to start, finish, or, etc. The Shocker beat goes on. We won't be as experienced as we are with our Fab. 5 Seniors, but be will be energetic and fun fun fun to watch. Who knows? We make make some noise, racket, and fluff some feathers of our opponents. Now that would be grand. We are getting used to it so they need to do the same. Can u dig it? Groooooovy man grooooooovy!!!!!!!

                        Pg - Armstead/Cotton/Vanvleet
                        Sg - Williams/Baker/Wessel
                        Sf - Wessel/Hawkins/Green
                        Pf - Early/White
                        C - Hall/Orukpe

This is, of course, barring any redshirts, and I don't really know where Anacreon fits in.

As it stands now, we will have 5...stay tuned...wouldn't be surprised if that number moves to 4.

I would guess that we will have a deeper rotation than we have this year (maybe more like last year). I can see sending in 5 new guys and just flat running folks out of the gym.

FVV will get LOTS of minutes. It may not start out that way but he will work himself into the mix. Based on the videos and comments I've seen, he will be one of the better pure point guards we have ever had.
