Before the remodel and we had seats on the floor with nothing between me and the floor except a couple of shapely cheerleaders, I was in Danny Moore's ear, with my feet on the black, screaming at him, received a forearm shiver from an official, shouted an obscenity in response, and STILL didn't get run.

Whatever Googs did, he didn't deserve the heave ho.

          • We're getting so much love. I feel like a traveling salesman at a hookers convention.

            • When Oscar played, Cincy was no mid-major.

well that would apply to Bird as well then....the Mo Valley wasnt considered a mid major conference so thats a mild argument at best...Cincy was the Gonzaga of that era....

                • Cincy went to 4 consecutive final 4's, and won back-to-back titles. They were the best program in the nation.

                  • Great win for the team. They just continue to decimate good teams on the ROAD.

Getting ready to watch the game on the DVR since I missed it, after the sCUm game is over.

                    More to follow...

                      • The Big O

The Big O didn't play 4 years. Players were not allowed to play in their freshman year then. Cinci gained so much attention in those days that they had a great recruiting class following the Big O years. Their center then was Paul Hogue. WSU beat Cinci several times then when they were ranked very highly. The most famous win may have been the time Dave Stallworth scored 6-7 pts in the last 30-60 sec's to bring WSU back from a 5-6 pt deficit.

Lanny Van Eman told me about that game once when I still lived in Phoenix, AZ. He said Ralph Miller called timeout with about a minute left and after the team gather at the bench, Ralph said something like this: "OK guys, we've got them where we want them". Stallworth then took over the game & singlehandly won it for WSU.

No. They made the tournament in the Big O's last two years but did not win a championship. They did win consecutive championships the 2 years following the Big O's final year at Cincy.
