Storming the Court After Drake

Are students still going to storm the court even though the conference will be locked up on the road against Illinois State? I'd rather we win out.

I never get to go to any WSU games outside of December, so I haven't been to any of the big games. Last time I stormed the court was in 2006 after FSU beat the #1 Duke team. Great experience ... but I still remember how much that court stunk. Just radiating sweat from the hardwood. They leave that bit of information out.

Whether it's "decided" or not, it ain't official until the last game is played. In my opinion that's the only time we should be stormin' the court -- when it's official (which is versus Drake).

So what if we wrap up the conference title at ISU red and then come home and lose against Drake - still stormin the court? :)

Lose at home...on senior night...in a revenge game...with an outright championship?? PaaaLease!!!

Creighton also didn't win an outright conference title. They stormed the court last night because they had been planning on a court storming since mid-January. Since it wasn't going to happen for the reason they wanted, they took the first excuse they got: a home win over an unranked (though very good, unranked nonetheless), low prestige Long Beach State team who was the underdog in this particular matchup.

Lame as lame gets.

I would throw Ramon Clemente in that mix as well. Without his mentality and passion we wouldn't be where we are at either. He passed a little bit of himself on with those previous players.

I would recommend the students bring in hacksaws and cut the railings down during the game so they don't look lame filing 1 by 1 to get on the floor.

For those future combat engineers, using steel cutting charges would be more spectacular. Remember in you calculation "p" stands for "plenty"

Creighton had a terribly lame excuse for rushing the court (twice, mind you). We however, will have a Championship banner to hang along with cutting down some nets. I won't particularly "storm" the court, but I will be down there congratulating the team in person and enjoying in the festivities. Won't be anything bush league about it.
