Saw Graham last night. Looking good and doing well. Amazing representative of Wichita State University.

Honestly, I still would. Like someone said, this is our second in 20 years. I'm only 19, so I don't expect these to happen more often (I'm optimistic, but I understand how hard it is to keep WSU consistent). I'm going to enjoy the entire experience, including standing outside Koch Arena around 7 in the morning to get a great seat.

I just hope our great crowd actually stays around long enough to see it and enjoy it and not hurry to their precious parking spots with 4 minutes left.

I will say that it seemed like there were more people that hung around to the end last night than usual. At least from where I was sitting.

I agree with that but there were still a great number of people piling down the exits... maybe less than usual, but still a lot. It's an especially high number considering what we have left in the season, where were positioned nationally, and what we just clinched a share of. I dunno. I think we're kicking some of these teams so bad that it's boring some of our spoiled fanbase. Just kind of annoying.

No bad weather but they just had to get out of there at 8:45 (the game went quick) and get home before bed at 9:30.

I stayed. And it took me 12 minutes from the time I got into my car to the time I finally turned onto Hillside to head home. Still made it home before 930. I totally get what you're saying, but some people are going to leave no matter what. Not sure why, as staying last night wasn't going to make anyone late to anything.

Funny thing I noticed last night was that many of the people leaving early, are the ones that get there the earliest.

Stayed, got home by 10. Very short game.

I can guarantee you there will be some (hopefully not very many) that will leave at around the 3 or 4 minute mark. If they do not then I will be unable to set my watch at a Shocker game for the first time ever.

You have my permission to "storm" the court after the Drake game.

Shouldn't we win the freaking game first? This is a total jinx thread!

As shockerfan stated, the players and staff will probably appreciate this kind of celebration. They deserve it. The students deserve it. Our fanbase deserves it.

I was there for the '06 game against ILS, and being on the court for the festivities is very fond memory. I'm glad the students this year will be able to have a similar experience.

You have my permission to storm the court at Illinois State as well. Two court stormings; one for the championship, and one for a celebration at home after the Drake game. This team deserves two stormings.

Oh, one in St. Louie would be fine as well. That will be three court stormings please.

Okay, okay, okay... you may as well storm the court in New Orleans while you're at it. :victorious:

Are students still going to storm the court even though the conference will be locked up on the road against Illinois State? I'd rather we win out.

I never get to go to any WSU games outside of December, so I haven't been to any of the big games. Last time I stormed the court was in 2006 after FSU beat the #1 Duke team. Great experience ... but I still remember how much that court stunk. Just radiating sweat from the hardwood. They leave that bit of information out.
