3G was in good form and merriment was had by all. Ron and Dennis called in, and some guy who's motor ran about 4000rmp.....man I hope he's ok.

The guy I got a kick out of was the one who called in saying it was inappropriate for people to talk about the possibility of 3G taking another job until after the season and that includes local sports talk shows (I'm pretty sure he was referring to Bruce and Bob). Then he rambled on about 5 minutes talking about the possibility of 3G taking another job. Classic.

I've got a buddy who occasionally listens to the Bill Self call in show. He says the same kind of calls come in to his show too, so maybe now we've arrived? I'm always amazed when someone wants to call in and offer unsolicited advice to the coach, especially on uniforms and after game cups of water. I'm sure we have more important things on our mind than that... at least I would hope...

Perhaps the "call-in" radio format self-selects the type of caller you're going to get. Aren't call-in shows kind of a relic? So the majority of people who call in might be older, retired people who fuss about little things because, hell, they've got the time.

Does the call in show accept--and if they don't, maybe they should start accepting--questions submitted via Twitter and Facebook? That might be a way to balance the questions back towards a younger demographic.

There were about 200 of us at the Shocker battery club dinner from about 6 to 8 pm tonight.

However, the kid IS going to be a big time help here!

Coach said he told Jake after the game the one problem was that he (Jake) owed Creighton a new backboard.

Jake replied "Coach, the next one's going up as soon as I catch it", in Gregg's best attempt at a Minnesota accent.

Since we're giving unsolicited advice,

Can we please chill with the "how are you doings" From caller 1 to caller 45641566/8754646 its "Hey coach how you doing"

Did you not hear the person who called ahead of you ask him the same question?
I know its a nicety and its polite but at what point do we realize that its completely redundant?
