Bracketology 2012

I wonder if Lunardi's projection for WSU is influenced at all by his relatively low opinion of the Shocks. In ESPN's latest power rankings, where WSU stands 11th, Lunardi (16th) is the only voter to have them outside his top 15, and several others actually place the Shocks in their top 10s.

Oh, well -- he STILL isn't on the committee.

If he really believed we were even 16 that would still make us a 4 seed (barely).

Lunardi's personal evaluation is different from his attempt to project the field as the committee will do it. There is often overlap between these categories, but there is still room for some difference.

I have always thought of Palm as a hack, much like Lunardi. Did Palm do anything of note other than being one of the first to replicate the RPI on the web, then charge for access to it?

Obviously Arch Madness meant nothing to Lunardi. Neither team changed at all based on the weekend's results.

Just a reminder of how bad Jerry Palm was last year. He missed 4 teams by atleast 3 seed lines!! That's horrible! Think in WSU's case this year. If you projected them as a 5 seed, they would have to get a 2 or an 8 in order to miss them by 3 spots. Palm missed that badly on 4 teams last year. I usually don't even look at his bracket anymore.

Lunardi has Drexel as an at large. Also he is down to two from the Pac-12. He also finally dropped Texas out. WSU and Creighton are unchanged today.
