I agree that the Shocks will not drop that much but I would say we will be "Top Three" and not "The Top Dog" like this year. I would also count Hall as a "5" (center) rather than a "4" (PF) next year. I hope Henry Uwadiae redshirts next year and we depend on Hall and Orukpe in the middle. (Imagine if Marshall had redshirted Stutz in his freshman year.) Finally, I'm not optimistic about Anacreon being back next year; Marshall wants players to be part of a team (his team) and I'm not sure Anacreon is "getting it."

I really hope Anacreon stays. The few times he has played, he has made some fantastic plays. A few bone-headed ones, but that's expected for the lack of experience. The good ones though are were he steals the ball, heads down court like a bolt of lightning and then dunks like thunder. That guy can REALLY get the crowd going!

With the scholarship situation the way it is, someone will be on the outside looking in. Depending on if Hawkins can become eligible (which sounds like it will happen more then likely), someone will have to search for another opportunity to play basketball. That player is looking like it might be James, but I have been wrong before.

We'll worry about this after THIS season though.

The morning 10-minute sports report at 7:20 on KVGB in Great Bend has not mentioned the Shockers all year, except for maybe twice. The last three mornings they have. And yesterday, they even included a "promo" for theit 8:30-9:00 am sports show that would include "talk about KU, K-State, and yes, even Wichita State."

This morning's Tribune -- there is no Monday paper -- had the AP poll with the headline, "UK retains top spot" instead of "Wichita State 19th." I know that if KjSU had just broken into the polls, the'd grab not only the article headline, but a entire half-page article.

Sometimes I think I may be too sensitive? What's your opinion?

Not really, it is just ridiculous. Try getting any mention in a lot of towns west of here. I hope Ron "The Maker" Baker will change all that.
