If a senior transfers, he still gets his extra year of eligibility but loses his scholarship exemption.

Example (not that he wants this but just as a tangible example that you can understand)...

If Trey Wade wants to continue playing at WSU, he can do so because he still has that year of eligibility, and WSU gets exempted from having to count that scholarship.

If Trey wants to keep playing college ball but wants to transfer to, say, Georgia (in his home state), he can still do that, but Georgia would have to count his scholarship among its allotted 13.

          • Good luck to Trevin. I really like the way he would get after it on defense.

Not sure how Trevin will fit into the EKU roster. EKU had a 5-11 freshman point guard, Wendell Green Jr., who played 30.5 minutes per game this past season and led all freshman in the country in total assists (146) and was second in total points (457) while averaging 15.8 PPG and 5.04 APG with a 1.83 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. He was named to the Collegeinsider.com freshman All-America team.

Might be a good fit if EKU needs someone to back up their hot shot freshman point guard.

Green will probably now hit the portal and get picked up by a P5 school.

It does appear that the NCAA now has unrestricted free agency that puts to shame anything the pros have. Of course, the great majority of the NCAA transfers or based primarily on a academic reasons.

                  • Green from Eastern Kentucky went into the portal 6 hours ago. So there is an opening for Trevin.

He's listed on Verbal Commits. He's one of 7 players, including 2 more PGs, in the portal.

                              • We should try and go after Walker Kessler! I’d love to see a 7 footer in a shockers uniform next season. Plus I hate UNC
