Rank the CU, UNLV and UNI victories

UNLV was the best team we have beaten and will have the most significance by the end of the year in terms of seeding.

Beating CU pretty much sealed the deal on a conference championship. They're both huge, just for different reasons.

UNLV This is the signature win

CU This hopefully gets us the better seed

UNI This built toughness

The Mo State game will be huge. We then need to win verus Davidson, a team that beat KU at the Sprint Center in KC--then 2 more Valley wins. Right now, our beloved Shocks can't look back at pat themselves on the back much yet. Too much daylight shines before us as opportunity keeps knocking with the bright lights, the pub. and obstacles that follows right along with it. So far, most of the time, our beloved Shocks are crashing through the door and taking care of our business, even though we were outnumbered yesterday in person by about 18,000 plus, unhappy bluefans. Was it not grand as we were able to "whiteout" their own expectations?

The determined look on Rags face in the spots page today personifies the fact that we have goals still before us, and we are not planning on allowing others to get in our way, but we know how extra hard they will be trying. This is what will carry us as far as we can go. MTXE!!!!!!! Stay tuned!!!!!!!

There's a difference in how we look at these games and how outsiders do. Outsiders would say that the UNLV game was our best win and maybe so. However, it was at home. CU beat SDS there by 2; SDS and UNLV split 2 games, each winning at home by 2. We beat UNLV by 19, lose to CU at home, then beat them in Omaha by 21. In this small sample, it would appear that CU, SDS, and UNLV are very much at the same level.

The difference: WSU and CU know each other very well. Each knows their strengths and weaknesses. WSU didn't play a solid game at home against CU and paid for it losing by 7. The second time around, WSU was ready and prepared, but this game had more to it. It was MVC game and as others have said, conference games are a different type of beast. It maybe didn't matter that CU had just lost 2 in a row, it was in their house and their backs were against the wall. WSU over came all this and won handly, on the road where a lot was on the line.

UNLV may have been a signature win that made others take notice, but winning at CU the way we did, may just be a defining point of this program.
