      Udeze's problem may have been that he saw so few minutes last year that nobody was certain about the level he was playing at. We saw him in all the games. Voters saw him in two games last year for only a few minutes. There isn't mjuch to compare to. The voters may have felt they didn't know whether he was improved or whether he was simply behind Echenique in the rotation.

      Isn't Most Improved generally given to a guy who's had 20+ minutes in consecutive seasons with obvious improvement?

                  Yikes. That doesn't make sense to me. They give out awards based offensive performances but none for defensive . Hope the Coaches persuade them to change this for the future.

                      Being a conference known for its good defensive teams, that's something that definitely needs to happen.
