We are absolutely loaded up on wings and off guards. Chapman doesn't fit needs very well. A PG and a post are the priorities.

Yes, 6'6" Council and 6'4" Jenkins were added to fill that SG/SF spot. Add to this ETN and DD and there's just not much time available until someone leaves. If we have another schollie available after filling the C/PF and PG spots and he's willing to wait (or earn) his turn, I'm all for it.

Couldn’t find a recruitment board (probably missed it ) but on Facebook some fans are saying Sterling Chapman is not going to sign with Tulsa anymore and wants to play at WSU again. Anyone know any truth to this? Someone also mentioned Erik Stevenson asked to come back...

I imagine the Erik thing is a joke. Chapman wouldn't surprise me. He already signed, however

I just wasn’t sure about Chapman. I figured the success of the Shockers this year may have given him a little bit of regret and I couldn’t remember if he actually signed or gave a verbal. Thanks!!

I'm sure Tulsa would let him out if his commitment. The kid and family have been lifelong Shocker fans and season ticket holders. I would be surprised if he didn't have buyers remorse after IB was named coach. Does IB want him? Who knows.

This is so beyond ridiculous.

Houston:
1)The difference wasn't that we weren't able to play as many games as we were healthy, but so many other teams were not. We did not play a game for 12 days because none of the teams that had to cancel on us either couldn't or wouldn't play us during that time.
2) It wasn't really that you split with Tulsa and we beat them twice. But that's on you.
3) Same goes for splitting with us. But that's on you.
4) The REASON was that you lost to the last place team in the league who only had 2 wins and you were one of them. That is REALLY on you.

Memphis:
1) Same as #1 above
2) You had to postponed your trip to Wichita (not on us). But that's is on you.
3) It really wasn't that you lost to Tulsa twice. But that, too, is on you.
4) The REASON was that the AAC gave you an opportunity to return the home game you owed us, but your coach said NO. I don't care about the excuse, you had the opportunity.

Damn straight. We caused none of this. There ain’t no backing into nuttin’ here.

Does anyone have championship T-shirts available for purchase this afternoon?

I was at a Dillons on Sunday and they had some shirts that mentioned the championship. It wasn't the ones the players and staff wore on Saturday though, but some other design.

I may be a little cocky at this point, but I really believe that this was the best year to get over on the Shox. Next year and the year after, are going to be harder to beat us. TE as a Jr & God willing he stays, a senior will be unhinged. Add in a real offseason of work for Council and Jackson and I see a team that has a high ceiling from a championship caliber team already.

Tyson will still be a sophomore next season. Also, for his sake, I hope he isn’t here for a 5th year senior season...and I’m not opposed to him bouncing after next season either because it would mean that he blows the roof off next season.
