I agree with Coach on his show tonight. He said that neither team played badly the first half but the physical defenses probably dominated (paraphrased) and the only difference between the first and second is that we probably shot a little better in the second half. I keep our fans talking about how poorly we played. Sometimes I think that Shocker fans think that our team is so much more talented than other teams in our league that we should be dominant. This is not realistic and while I think that we have a lot of people on here with a lot of basketball knowledge, realism isn't a strength. The parity in college basketball is so great at this time. Don't forget that Indiana State beat Vandy earlier in the year. They are a very capable team and I think that the Shockers are getting everyone's best game right now. We'll have very few blow outs the rest of the year. Last year's NIT run was gold and we were at the top of our game for 5 games in a row when we blew several teams out. I hope that we hit that mother lode again at the right time. Until, we need to realize that our team is playing pretty consistent basketball.

A very excellent coach's show tonight with a lot of great callers. Coach mentioned the fail on the part of not acknowledging Garrett's 1000 points at Saturday's game. He said an acknowledgement will be made at Wednesday's game.
Also props to the last caller for asking coach about the in-game production and his opinions on it. Hopefully, the administration is listening to the show and understands people are concerned about it. Of course, Marshall didn't really say much because a.) he's not gonna bag the administration, b.) he has more important fish to fry during the game. He again reinforced his disappointment with the lack of acknowledgment for Garrett's milestone.
Pretty sad that a coach has to issue complaints for anything to be done. Then again, par for the course for the Sexton pups.
Great show. Great questions callers.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

He also mentioned that he would like to see more students in the student section, and not sure how to get them there. Suggested selling them earlier to maybe get more regular fans in the door.
Suggestion for Coach: Go class to class and give them out. Give them to players to give out in class. Give them to professors to give out.

Who is in charge of promotions? My guess it is somebody, who has been around for awhile and not an expert in promotions. If so, then perhaps there is merit to go to the outside and hire a talented, experienced person for promotions. Create a promotions deptment for all sports. Whatever is done, do something different.
I sure miss those autos from KDOT.
