First off I like our emphasis on D.
Second we need size, its on its way.
Third I am impressed with our rebounding despite lack of size.
Fourth we need a couple of outside shooters to draw the other teams defense out.
Five I believe our guard recruits are taller and should help with the D of the 3 pointers.

We have a decent team. We have been in everygame despite poor shooting. I think HCGM is addressing our needs.

I have only seen 1 game live! The above is what I took from it.

How is it with a great facility and great attendance that we've won 1 MVC crown in the last 25 years? It is a bit perplexing when you look at SIU.

On the other hand, CU has only won 1 outright MVC crown during Altman's tenure, though they've made the tourney almost as much during his tenure as WSU has in our entire history.
Yep, that's pretty much it... It is a macro-exasperation buoyed by the pain and stress of recent losses. Could be I am still suffering from some sort of post-traumatic syndrome from last year's coaching change. ;-)

I just want to see continued progress in this program and for it to achieve its rightful position in the MVC like our baseball program has. We should not be wondering if we are going to be in the top-3 every year. We should NOT be struggling to recruit against other MVC programs.

Who cares if we lost Sampay and we are "glad we did". We shouldn't have lost Sampay to the likes of Illinois State. Nobody (except locals and a few catholics that go to Creighton) should be able to out-recruit us. We are just too "high-majorish" compared to others.

      -Personal, jet-powered recruiting visits.
      -100% chartered away games.

-Playing in front of a sell-out every game.
-Access to the finest training facilities you will see anywhere in the country.
-Playing for one of the hottest young coaches in the country.
-Playing under one of the finest AD's in the country.

As far as size, well that can work for you, or it can work against you. Seems to me, that 5'8" Boo Richardson did pretty good against us the other night. He knocked down shots for the outer perimeter, and he created plays, and dished it off.

Most notable differences I see, is that the good players are quick, and have good moves before posting up or taking to the basket. We do make some good offense plays, but sometimes it seems as if everyone is thinking about what to do, instead of just doing it. To be a 'playa' you have got to instinctly know what to do in a situation, and before you know by instinct, you have got to think 'fast enough' on your feet to make it work while you are learning.

I'm sorry, but if you practice 6-7 days a week, and can not start putting it together after a month, that leaves me wondering just how they make it through their classes with a passing grade. Some posters talk like this new system is total foreign entity that they have never come across before, when in reality, most of learned systems are very similiar, or with the same emphasis on parts of the game that CGM wants.

How many games do you watch where the team that wins is simply the team 'that refuses to lose'? You see this all the time, and especially in outstanding players.
