You're probably right. I'd take my chances with the old geezers who complain about seat comfort.

Just how far can our Stutz take us this very Season? It may depend on staying out of foul trouble. Creighton went right at him and before we blinked, he was on the pine. There is no equal in the Valley to Stutz when he is on the court. 2 of his fouls against the Bears were NOT good ones. We need Mr. Stutz on the floor and our foes want him on the pine. What a Senior Season he has had and his critics are now believers. Last but not least, Mr. Stutz is one of many awesome young men that play for our Shockers and represent us with class. We have much to be thankful for.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I doubt it. There are so many fans who pick a player to hate as soon as the player gets here and never stops hating. The couple who sits a couple seats from us have had it in for Garrett since the moment he set foot on campus. It's like earlier in the season when an opponent shot a 3 over him and the guy screamed in his loudest for Garrett to get off his a$$ and defend for a change and yelled for Coach to get him out. Then on offense, Garrett made an unbelievably great pass for an easy layup and not a peep from the guy. Two possessions, the same 3 point shooter shot a 3 over Carl Hall. Once again, not a peep. I don't believe I've ever heard either of them say anything good about Garrett even after a magnificent play or game. On the other hand, they cheer like crazy for other players.

We also got to listen to him scream at Sean Ogirri for 3 years.

I guess we'll wait and see who they pick next year.

WstateU is probably one of the idiots who was calling Garrett fifi earlier this year and the last three years. Well I don't know how good much better he'll get but he is a lot bigger, and stronger than last year. I don't know if he'll be good enough for the NBA but while you may sell him short, I won't. I don't think he's peaked yet.
Shockmonster, WstateU is one of the good guys. You could not be more wrong about this one.

That would be me. I'm one of the idiots. I made a comment referring to GS as fifi following the Cretin game because I felt GS had been soft. Someone else (may have been Aargh, Sub, or Doc) then commented that GS plays a finesse game. And that is true. GS has never been about power. But since the Cretin game, GS has played like a man on a mission. He's playing much tougher. He's playing like a dominant 7 footer. That's all I wanted to see. So maybe I am an idiot. But let me say this monster; if you think GS wasn't soft his first three seasons, then maybe I'm not the only idiot around here.

Also, just so you know, I've always been happy GS is here. I was happy the day GS signed, and I'll be sad to see him leave. He has always been a great student, person and representative of WSU. As a student/athlete he has worked his tail off. As a player he has improved a great deal this season, and I couldn't be happier for him. Not for WSU, but for him.
"Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. He told me that if he tried to get his team ready to play me, it would upset his team the rest of the season." Gene Johnson, WU Basketball coach, 1928-1933.

He was soft against Erkel in the first game, and that is his game, but you make good points on everything.

It'll be really fun to hear from the noise, or lack thereof, from certain fans in my general seating area on Saturday night. Go Stutz!

Although the late 9:00 tip time might be a tiff past bedtime for some.. ;)

Garrett is another good example that if you get a very good center (6-10 and up) that DIDN'T sign with an elite program, it's going to take 3+ years for him to reach his potential. It took Paul Miller 3 years plus a RS year. Orukpe hasn't yet hit his ceiling. It will take Henry a while as well. You have to plan on inconsistent spot play for these guys as they don't grow into their bodies until after the age of 22. Look at Wiffe (or whatever his name is) at KU. He's playing quite well now that he's a senior. He was less than impressive last year and he signed with Arizona (I believe) out of HS.
