You have to plan on inconsistent spot play for these guys as they don't grow into their bodies until after the age of 22. Look at Wiffe (or whatever his name is) at KU. He's playing quite well now that he's a senior. He was less than impressive last year and he signed with Arizona (I believe) out of HS.
Withey's a JR, but point taken. WSU is probably never going to be able to recruit an 18-year old impact 7-footer. If we get a 7-footer, he's probably going to be raw in terms of basketball skills (Orupke) or lacking athleticism (Stutz). Miller and Stutz are proof that if you work hard and improve your footwork and positioning skills, you can more than make up for not having a huge vertical.

It'll be really fun to hear from the noise, or lack thereof, from certain fans in my general seating area on Saturday night. Go Stutz!

Although the late 9:00 tip time might be a tiff past bedtime for some.. ;)
Fev, you and me haven't dropped gloves in a while, but calling me out about my imposed bed time is really hitting below the belt. Gonna have to take you off my Christmas card list this year as a punishment. Hope you understand.

Are you keeping track? Sorry WstateU, I meant Ripemupshoks I guess.

I've always believed that Garrett had it in him from the very beginning.

I don't mind Stutz shooting the three once or twice a game, but I'd much rather have him dunk the ball.

Me too. If nothing else it keeps the defense guessing and it can help open up the inside.

Oddly enough, Stutz faking the 3 and getting his defender to bite has led to Stutz being one of the more effective Shockers at driving from the arc to the basket and finishing.
