There's a lot of people talking about a WSU dip next year. I don't see it. Are the Shox going to play at UNLV next year? That would be sweet. Beat down again.

The MVC/MWC challenge do not have return games involved.

We play SDSU next year as a return. I thought we got UNLV in 2013.

Early gives the Shox many versatile options on who's on the floor at the 3,4 & 5...similar to the versatile roster options at the 1 & 2. The thought of seeing Early (3), Hall (4) & EO (5) on the floor at the same time is exciting on paper, and will happen in small does based on specific situations.

Hall is best suited for the 5 and hopefully EO will be a serviceable backup capable of 12-14 minutes next year. With Early capable of playing both the 3 & 4, what other options at those slots will develop between now and next season? What if Hawkins, Wessel or Green separate from the pack and becomes a clear-cut starter? Then Early plays mostly at the 4. What if White continues to evolve the rest of this year, works hard in the off-season on his game and body and becomes a clear-cut option at the 4 (sorry fellow SN'ers, Anacreon is a bust and doesn't factor in)? Then Early plays mostly at the 3 and fills in some at the 4.

Marshall has done a great job of putting together a roster that will be hard to prepare for if your the other team. To much yet at stake this year to focus to much on next year...but it's hard not to imagine.

Freddie Van Vleet will be serving it all up on a platter.. dish for the assist, over and over again.

Better get my mind back on the Drake game. That will be a tough one.

And his coach said that he is a game-changer on the DEFENSIVE end.

                  Back to Drake.

You can bet on one thing, that next year we will be deep as we are this year. We will again be playing 10-11 guys in most of our games. With the talent we have coming in, I could see us again competing for 1st in the MVC.

I can.not.wait. to get Early, Van Vleet etc. on the court for WSU.

What we have next year is alot of POTENTIAL. We are losing a ton of scoring, rebounding, assists....etc. Granted some guys will step up and fill some of that in. I don't think we will drop off the face of the earth, and we will be better in Feb than Dec. However, careful when expecting so many newcomers to just transition right in and play. Even some of the guys on the bench that we think have so much potential may never realize that potential next year.

We will be very inconsistent and could lack in leadership. Time will tell. I still say we will finish 4th or 5th at best next year.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

Fourth or fifth at best? How do you figure that? You know WSU will be inconsistent how?

If your avatar has any more hooch in it...take a shot, or two.

Our good record hides the fact that when it gets to crunch time we are INCONSISTENT and LACK LEADERSHIP...this year.

Defenses already sag off to clog the paint, stop dribble penetration and dare the Shox to shoot 3's. That might be even more effective next year. The 3 point guys next year seem to be White and Baker. That's not much to rely on - especially since neither projects to be a starter.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
