If he hangs a couple more monster games and at least plays Echenique to a standstill in the next meeting, I don't think there's any way to keep him off there.

My main implication on Carmichael was that the league's leading rebounder, as long he's scoring and blocking shots, usually has a lock on a spot. And I think as of last night's games, Stutz is leading the league in rebounding.
Check that - I was at the Spurs game last night and didn't watch games live. Just saw JC's monster line against MoState.

      McDermott
      Stutz
      Weems
      Young
      Murry

With the runaway that WSU and CU are getting, they could easily get 2 each on the team.

McDermott, Stutz, and Weems are no brainers. That probably represents the top 3 teams at the end of the season. That probably also represents any team that ends the season above 10-8. With the huge logjam that's likely at 9-9, that's typically where second and third-team selections are found.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I'm not sure about Missouri State being #3. Patterson might miss a month or more with his ankle sprain.

If Ryan stays in the top handful of national scorers, he's in.

It's amazing to me in conversations about this topic the number of people who absolutely will not buy in to the productivity of Garrett's performances this year. Most people who have been adament that Stutz, through his Junior season, has mostly been "Baby Garrett" or "Stutz the Clutz" just simply will not recognize his value.
Open your eyes people............if Garrett continues with current production levels, he is a lock for All-Con.

I'm not necessarily referring to anyone here. Just a lot of people in the general community who refuse to believe that Garrett is any good.

Garrett is good, but I don't know whether he is first team all MVC. I do like that he seems to have added some offensive moves to his game. He needs to be more of a shot blocker though.

After tonight you may have to put Ben Simons on the First Team. Hopefully, the Shocks can hold him to only a 2nd Team All-Conference performance in the 2nd half.

Boredom struck, and I ran across the conference-only statistical leaders. I decided to aggregate ranks by assigning points across the 7 primary categories to see what it looked like. I don't think this is useful as an All-Valley predictor for various reasons, but there were a couple of interesting takeaways.
